Happily, I've had enough recent funds to start doing what I want to do with images now. I've been experimenting with many things: oils, additives, etc. the latest of which is gold and silver iridescent paint and metallic affects. Obviously, iridescence is difficult to photograph; finding the balance between it and the actual image; so, the selective process for photography has become more important.
I can't believe my only uploads here are acrylic paintings. I've been using oils now for so long, but the finished pieces don't photograph well because the canvases need to be flattened out - stretched, because ironing them destroys the paint (unless anyone has any tips they'd like to share), and I can't stretch them yet.
I may be making a new folder called Kitsch, for entertaining images made without any real innovation, separate to my legitimate art practice. Since DA hates innovation, I suspect that the entertainments will actually come to overshadow the art
